First - why didn't you ask the doctor to send medicals by traceable courier?
It is just about $20 and would have given you comfort. You have spend few
hundreds per person on medicals and wanted to save $20 on courier?
Second - it takes at least a week from medicals have all tests back in
doctor's office and then s/he must prepare report and mail it to Ottawa. It
is also a holiday season, so mail takes longer than usual. Don't expect
report reaching Ottawa in less than 3 weeks from medicals under the
circumstances. Then add to it at least couple of months for evaluation.

Dear Mr. Miller,
I understand my shortsightedness on not making the doc use a courier.
I now just wanna make sure that Ottawa has received my medicals, as I went
thru it in the start of Nov'03.
The nurse of doc says that they have send it out in the second week of Nov
but they are not able to tell me when have these been received in Ottawa.
So, is there a way for me to call Ottawa and make sure they have or have not
received it.
TIA

Nobody in Ottawa will tell you if medicals were received or not, sorry. Just
watch your file on e-client - you may see it there.

What Mr Miller said is right, or you can ask your DOC to give the
waybill number of the courier which he send to OTTAWA (i am sure that
all the DMP use valid courier system for positng this kind of
documents)
I am in your same situation, but I ve traced that my Medicals have
reached the Medical Office designated. Now the wait is again on.
Best of luck,
Santhosh

I think most of the DMPs send the results by regular mail, since they normally
send everything to the hospital mail room. Unless the DR personally takes the
trouble to make sure it is sent by courier I have my serious doubts that it
will be. The mailing is done by someone else in the hospital and besides, once
the DR gets the hundreds of dollars you pay for the check up, they dont want to
spend anymore time doing anything else. They will send it, but by regular mail.

My Dr. sent it by FedEx.
Charged me for it - but at least I knew when they mailed and when Ottawa
received.
