Dear Experts,

I've just recieved an IA. I've lived in a former USSR country since till age
of 17. After that I moved to Canada where I live and work (work permit).
I've never lived in any other country, have no police records, never worked
in any occupations that could be of any concern nor have I ever served in
the military.

Could you give me some indication as to what an avarage wait for background
check is for people with my profile.

Correction, I actually moved 4 month after my 18th birthday, so I had to
supply Police clearance certificate from Ukraine.

Even for people from USSR it differs. For some it can take 1.5-2 months,
others wait up to a year. Each case is individual.

Note to original poster. If i were you i wouldn't trust a little piece
of immigration advice on this newsgroup. The only area of expertise of
these EK girl for example is syphilis and other STDs. She really knows
this subject deep and personal, other than that she doesn't really
know anything.

We can obtain police clearance certificate in Ukraine and translate to your
requested language for 3-4 b/s days. Passport copy and dates of stay while in
Ukraine are required. It is real genuine police certificate obtained from
Ministry of Internal Affairs (Police).
