I did a k3 for my wife and she is here now, but the I-130 I filed
through Nebraska has not been approved yet. I filed the I-130 back on
March 15, 2004.

I heard the I-130 petitions are now getting approved within 2 weeks now
through Nebraska is that true?

What do the processing times say for NSC on the official site?

oct. 3, 2003. Over 1 year behind!

Well that sounds about right. Only VSC seems to be consistent on rapid
(not two weeks though!!!) approval for 130s.

hi, can I ask what VSC stands for I've seen it in a few posts? not to
highjack the thread or anything but does anyone know if applying for a
I130 in in London (thats where my wife and I live) is quicker than if I
did it for her back in the states?

cheers,

VSC is Vermont Service Center. Most likely, doing a DCF in the UK is
quicker than going the 130/K3 route in the US, and quite possibly even
quicker than a 130 within the VSC are of jurisdicition.

If you are both in London then I would definately do it in London.
Direct Consular Filing is by far the quickest method and you get your
greencard at the end of it.  Look on visajourney.com for timelines and a
DCF forum for more information

zeo,

Less than 1 year behind (but not much) - it's not October yet.

Anyway, this is consistent with my I-130 experience at teh NSC - Receipt
Notice Date 2 October 2003, Approval Notice Date 22 September 2004.

ok thanks Jeff for your input, but the good news is I can do the I-
485 petition for my wife now without having to wait for her I-130 to
be approved.
