My situation, I have a K3 approval and I am scheduled for my interview
lated december 2004 in montreal, I am a Canadian citizen as well.
Intending to be with my wife in usa. My i130 was filed year and a half
ago.
We are now seperated and I am filing for a divorce and my question is as
follows:
What happens to my Canadian status allowing me to travel back and
fourth to usa as a visitor before, as I was technically in immigration
status before. As I am filing for a divorce and cancelling all
paperwork, i130, i485, i765, and k3
Any experience here will be greatly appreciated, as I would like to
visit friends in usa again and have prevoius privileges I've had as a
canadian to travel back and fourth without any issues.
regards

I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out for you both.
You may want to write a formal letter, withdrawing your visa application
and copy it to Montreal, the NVC, the NBC (if they are still involved
with the K3) and your Service Center. In other words, backtrack to the
beginning and inform any office that may have been involved.
Send it all by a trackable method and save your proof of receipt and
carry that with you when you want to travel. Your details will likely be
in the computer when you cross, but carry the same, normal ties to
Canada and be prepared to have to re-tell your story.
Best wishes & good luck.
