a quick question for you lovely experienced people :)

my hubby and I don't have any joint bank accounts or credit cards due to
the fact that I am still looking for a job (I don't drive so it's
difficult since hubby works crazy hours and public transport round here
is limited!)
We really didn't see the point in a joint account as we are short of
cash with only one income anyway, and hubby is trying to get rid of his
pesky credit cards for good!

any thoughts on whether this will be frowned upon?

Shouldn't be a problem for the AOS if you have other evidence, but......

you can certainly have your name on the accounts even if you don't
provide any income as deposits!  Suggest that you do this!

As SG stated, other proof can take the place of joint accounts and/or
credit cards.  You can show both your names on health insurance, you can
show each other as beneficiary of any life insurance, or other benefits,
joint car insurance (although you don't drive....but my hubby doesn't
drive yet either, and I added his name to my car insurance anyway...just
as a non-driver).  Also, mail addressed to both of you, pictures of you
together, joint memberships at a gym, club, organization, etc... those
types of things are good.

Best Wishes,
Rene

hubby has suggested in the past opening up a joint savings account with
the remainder of our tax return, so I think we're going to go do that :)
thanks!
