I just got this email reply for name check request: **************************** Dear XXXX, I am responding to your e-mail dated November 15, 2004, requesting status for an FBI Name Check. A review of the FBI's Name Check Program database concerning XXXX revealed two requests were received from the Department of State (DOS). One was on October 18, 2004 which was completed on October 25, 2004. The other one was on December 15, 2004 and it was completed also on December 15, 2004. The results were forwarded to DOS Headquarters in Washington DC. The DOS can be contacted at (202) 663-1225 for further information. **************************** my fiance's fingreprint were already cleared around Novemeber 17th.... but the state department and Embassy in Islamabad keeps telling me that they are waiting for Security clearance in Administrative Processing. Now I am not sure whats left......... any ideas please? Thanks a lot! Perhaps they are still waiting on the clearance from the December check.... Also, Admin Processing doesn't always involve only the security checks, either. I think sometimes they just do some double-checking or something internally, too. Perhaps that's also the holdup? Call that DOS number and let us know what they say! I just spoke to my congressman again, and forwarded him the email, He says he is going to forward it to counslate in Pakistan and lets see what they say....... I just spoke to Department of state again and tried finding out what the heck is going on, apparently there are security clearances OTHER THAN name check and fingerprinting, which they can't exactly tell me anything about, all i have to do is to wait!!! FBI reply was a good thing today, but i guess its not going to make much of difference.... I also tried asking them what all the clearances are, but they could only say "a variety of agencies are involved". I am planning to email it to Jill Skyes in Islamabad tonight, don't have his email addres right now with me, and regular info email just told me 2 days ago that they are still waiting for clearances....
