Hi all,
After sending in a I-485 package April 3 and not hearing anything back
from the NYC district office I got a Notice of Action from the BCIS
Missouri Service Center regarding scheduling an appointment for
bio-metrics.
Interesting... I now have a receipt date of Aug 27 but no priority
date. (NYC got the paperwork on April 3 and cashed the money-order on
April 18).
So essentially looks like NYC distric office sat on the file for 4,5
months and then shipped it over to Missouri for central processing.
Couple of questions if anyone knows:
1. It says 60-90 days processing time when I check the case status
online based on the Aug 27 receipt date. Anyone heard if it's quicker
than this?
2. Do I have to go down to BCIS to pick it up or do they actually mail
out the card?
I would really love to avoid camping down at Federal Plaza, but I
would truly need the EAD by end of November at the latest. Tough
call... better camping now when it's still warm... than freezing in
October.
Anyone else from NYC that have gone through this new process with BCIS
Missouri?
Many thanks,
Ola

see my signature below for EAD timeline. I recieved my EAD in the mail,
but it doesnt always work that way. I am a K-3er, and went through
Missouri, and sent my application to chicago/Missouri (I didnt file EAD
application together with AOS application).
