we just had our AOS interview in MEMPHIS ON JULY 27 and we were
approved on the spot. The officer said that i will get the perminent
resident card ( 3 years marriage) and i should get in about 4 weeks but
they did not stamp ont the passport. He was so nice and polite. I had
all my documents organized.
First he asked for both our drivers license and my passport.
He took
- i94.
- birth certfiicate of our baby,
-income tax statement (w2 forms) for year 2004 since he already had
the others.
- health insurance benefists
- life insurance benefits
- car insurance
- medical results
- bank statements (originals)
- gave him bunch of photos
- newletters from church with both our names on.
- new affadivit of suport since our baby is included in the tax
return 2004
We had bunch of other evidence. We took 3 folders and a box full of
greetings cards , but he was satisfied with these and did say that he is
convinced of our marriage and that he does not need any more proves.
I have 2 questions:
- did they stamp on your passport once you were approved or you only
waited for the resident card ?
- i was cheking my case status today which was updated today, however it
only said
