Hi,

Just an update for any interested in timelines through Memphis.

My husband's naturalization interview was Monday, Oct. 24,2005 in
Memphis--it was a success!  We received the oath ceremony letter today (Oct.
29).  That was much faster than expected!  The date scheduled is Nov. 18,
but we'll be out-of-town that week, so we're going to send the letter back
to reschedule.  Will update when the new info comes.

This has all been moving much faster than anticipated!  (which is great!!)
Filed through TSC in April 2005--so, if we could have kept this oath
appointment, it would have been only 7 months from start to finish.

Best of luck to all.

Congratulations! Be aware that, depending on where you live and which
office you use, rescheduling the oath ceremony might take a month or
a year! At any rate, his status as a PR is not in jeopardy at all.
Good luck.

Thank you!  Yes, I've read that it can be a real headache to reschedule, but
maybe it won't take too long.  At any rate, we're not in too big of a
hurry...at least I say that now--if it really takes a year, I might change
my tune!  :-)  We're going on a trip to Las Vegas.  My husband has a
long-scheduled conference there for work, and it happens to fall near our
6th anniversary, so we're taking the opportunity to celebrate (without the
children!!) and visit the surrounding area.  Looking forward to Bryce Canyon
and Hoover Dam!  :-)  Anyway, this ended up being a long post just to say
"thank you".  :-)   I think we're practically neighbors if I remember
correctly, aren't you in Kentucky?  We're in Tennessee, in Nashville at this
time.
Thanks again and best wishes to you and yours.

Yes, Kentucky... we're about 6 hours north east of you! :) Enjoy your
anniversary trip! ;)

Congrats! Your mentioning of TSC made me jump, so I quickly
checked the current posted N-400 processing dates:
WOW... Memphis is working on cases from June 2005 and Charleston
on December 2003!!
Aren't the differences amazing? I guess we still have some
waiting to do...

Thank you!  Sorry you're still having to wait.  It does seem Memphis is
moving things right along.  Today we mailed off our letter to change the
oath ceremony date --we'll see how quick they are with that request.  :-)

Best wishes!
