I reported the sham marriage of an ex-friend to the INS.  She entered
the US about three years ago with a tourist visa and never left.  About
six months ago she paid an American Citizen to marry her to try to stay
in the US.  She does not live with this man because she lives with her
boyfriend.  What is the process?  What will they do to her?

Chop off her head and boil it in oil.

How exactly is this any business of yours? Did she turn tricks for you
on the weekend and now refuses? Are you the guy she married and now
you're pissed off that she's living with someone else?

Grow up! Get a life! Take personal responsibility for your own actions!

I personally think it is the business of any American Citizen to report
any illegal alien activity they know of.  Afterall, illegal immigration
causes a lot of problems in the US.

What problem has this person caused you?

Well, for one she is an illegal alien claiming the Earned Income Tax
Credit which means she is stealing from our government.  Doesn't matter
- point here - she is illegal and doing something illegal.

What harm does it cause me if someone is murdered in the street that I
don't know?  None.  I'd report it, though.

Ill bet your US ex-friend didnt declare his lump sum bribe payment on
his tax forms either, gonna report him?

No, I didn't know the guy she married, nor do I have enough information
to report him.  I assume the INS will take care of him as well.

Why does everyone get so sarcastic when a citizen reports illegal
immigration activity.  You guys jumped all over the person asking about
coming to the US on the waiver and getting married - which was illegal.

What gives?

He was an ex-friend on your original post.. now you dont know him!

Coming to the US on a waiver and getting married isnt illegal by the
way..

I think people were pissed at you due to your unhealthy interest in what
happens to her - plus your screen name is Glee which sort of sums it up.

She was an ex-friend that married a he.  I knew her, the ex-friend.  I
did not know him, the spouse.  How do you know I have an unhealthy
interest?  I'm just hoping that my complaint receives a reaction that
will stop illegal activity.

My screen name if the fist letter of my first name and my last name.
I don't see the problem with that?  I did not want to disclose my
whole name.

BTW, I she did not turn tricks for me or whatever it was someone else
suggested.  I am female.

maybe she would if you asked her?

So, when she was your friend, her illegal activity wasn't an issue.
What happened between the two of you? Did she steal your lover?

That doesn't mean she couldn't turn tricks for you! I know a lot of
women pimps... this is quite common in places other than the US. At any
rate, I've captured your IP address and forwarded it to USCIS. They'll
track you down via your ISP and you can give them all the gory details.
Good luck to you.

I am wondering why the OP chose this forum.
It isn't that difficult to find the phone number for the immigration law
enforcement people.

Because people, for all their righteous indignation, aren't fully ready
to screw someone over. I, on the other hand, have absolutely no
conscience whatsoever, so I don't have a problem giving them exactly
what they want!

How do you know what you say is true?

The issue is that you have two people that can be reported, AND you only
 talked about one of them.

Making recommendations on what NOT to do to immigrate is NOT the same
thing as reporting those who may have violated immigration law. If they
are not terrorists or REAL criminals, I don't really see the need to go
out of the way to report them. Additionally, if a USC is involved in the
illegal activity, it seems logical that you would discuss reporting BOTH
of them. That fact that you want to report this woman indicates personal
involvemnent. So, what happened between the two of you?

Well, do you also care if her USC husband gets into trouble?
You indicated he was PAID to marry her so she could immigrate.
You don't seem concerned about HIS illegal activity.

Hi glee,

Just a suggestion, maybe you could call back whoever you called to
report the activity, and ask them what the process is, and will
happen to her?

Best Wishes,
Rene

Time to add my 2 cents. This is actually the wrong newsgroup to talk
about intentional sham marriages for immigration purposes. (Other then
commenting that it is a really bad idea)

This group is primarily about helping those, like myself, who are
going through the legal process of bringing a fiancee or spouse into
this country legally.

I think it may be safe to say that most people would just as soon keep
the political stuff out of here. Illegal Immigration is a major issue
and is best dealt with in other USENET news groups.

Please note that I have not voiced any opinion on what should be done
regarding illegal immigration, nor will I knowingly do so here.
(Unless someone is foolish enough to ask. <wink>)

Thank you.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled discussions regarding
the USCIS, travels to far away lands and all around dealings with
assorted governent agencies.

This is a perfect example of someone with too much time on her hands.
