Fingerprints retaken!!!

I'm about at my wits end with this damn immigration stuff.  It's just
one hurdle after another and it never seems to get any easier.  I got my
greencard a while ago since my husband is a USC and in August 2005 I
sent in my N-400 to become a citizen.  In November I had my fingerprints
taken (a bloody frustrating experience to say the least since not only
did I have to wait for hours but then some idiot woman tried to tell me
I was an ENGLISH citizen which was like a red rag to a bull being a full-
blooded SCOT! I politely tried to tell her that I was a British or
United Kingdom citizen but she was having none of it.  Then when she saw
it was listed under E in the computer she said "see" to which I replied
"well your system is labelled incorrectly" while trying to get myself
under control).  Ahh anyways, sorry for the slight tangent there back to
my point ...
So the processing times that were updated in December said they were now
processing August 2005 so I figured I'd get my interview pretty soon.
Well I get  a letter in the mail today saying that I have to have my
fingerprints RETAKEN on  3/8/06!!!  So now I'm freaking out wondering
when this will all be over.  Does anyone know if I'll still get my
interview soon?  Could I get my interview before I have my fingerprints
retaken or will they wait until after March?
Any advice or info anyone has would be much appreciated.  I swear all of
this makes me wonder if it's bloody worth it sometimes.

Anyway,  a happy New Year to you all and here's to a bright 2006!

Cheers :)

Hi:

OK, many US Citizens conflate "english" with "british."  Don't get
upset, just gently correct them.

Out of curiosity, why are you at "wits end" that they are processing
your case?  You state that the procesing times show they are processing
cases of your vintage and, sure enough, you get evidence of processing!

You need an attitude adjustment IMHO since your case seems to be
proceeding at normal speed and CIS has even appeared to have promptly
corrected a problem which appeared in your case.

Good luck and happy new year to you.  I would not be surprised if you
can vote in next November's election.

It's just been a long haul and I'll be glad when I don't have to deal
with any of this anymore.  Heh had a rough day and had to vent that's
all.  Actually our main concern is that we really want to move to a
different state but would rather wait until we get all this finalized
instead of having to deal with change of address and stuff.  I've heard
people have had all kinds of problems with that.  Do you happen to know
if they will wait to give an interview until after they retake the
prints or if it's possible to get the interview before then?
Thanks.  Happy New Year! :)
