Suppose the House bill becomes law, would the Adjustment of Status
opportuniy for spouses and others vanish, due to being in the USA illegally
being made a felony ?

You haven't actually read the thing have you? You've just heard
something about it and you're now concerned that your new amour may
suddenly be tossed in jail, right? Better act fast before it's too late!

I hope so!
Why do you think criminal acts and disrespect the nation's laws should be
rewarded favorably?

We need more law-abiding people here, not more lawbreakers!

Hi:

One, only ONE house has passed it. When you see the headline, bill
bassed by BOTH houses and it is awaiting the President's signature,
then worry.

I can't say that I looked at it carefully [e.g. line by line with a
ruler in hand], but adjustment of status and criminal liability are two
different things.
