Hi everyone, my fiance and I are just starting out on the K1 path,
we've known each other for 3 years now and we fly transatlantic every
few months (i'll be there next in june). We are wanting to get married
and start our life together in august 2007 (after i graduate uni). Shes
a US citizen and i'm UK, I've read that once the VISA is issued, you
have up to 6 months to use it, if I can't leave the UK till August 1st
'07, but we still want a summer wedding, when does everyone think would
be a good time to start filing forms and getting the process started?
We've read a little about how the application works, but I have a
feeling we'll be using this group a LOT over the next few years
thanks, liam and addie

Hard to say, these things change all the time in processing times, also
depends on where abouts in the US your finance is from etc.

What is your service center?
I would say start 6 months ahead (i.e. Jan 2007) if it is Vermont.
Start between 9 and 12 months ahead for the other centers.
You can check the processing times online (
https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp ). You can do your
calculations and try to have the I-129F approved 6 months in advance if
you want to be on the safe side - and 3 months in advance anyhow.
Good luck
