Immigration Forum / USA Marriage Base / March 2006H4 or B1
Please let me know your opinion(s). My to be wife is in India and has a 10 year multiple entry B1 visa. She has been to US a few times. My trip to get married will be very short and getting H4 during that period will be difficult (dont have consulate in home city etc.). --- What are disadvantages/risks of coming on B1 visa and then converting to H4 while in US? --- Advantages are the saved time and hassle, and that we will be able to come to US together. Thanks a lot for your advice! You might want to try posting your question in alt.visa.us. Seems like they deal with H1 and H4 issues more there.
