It's been a long while since I posted anything new here about my
immigration story, and life in the USA in general.  Following a
successful AOS interview in Jun '04 in Providence, RI, my green card
arrived in the mail in Aug '04.  As hubby and I were married less than 2
years when it was issued, it was, of course, issued with conditions.

It was so nice in the 18 months or so following the interview, not to
have to worry about anything to do with the USCIS and their procedures,
and just get on with our lives together.  How quickly that time passes
though, and after the New Year, I knew I had to start thinking about
applying to have conditions removed.  I downloaded the forms and started
checking in at this forum again for ideas, and to get answers to
questions, etc.  I was very out of practice, I even forgot how AR I had
been with my previous filings!  The more I thought about and read up on
it though, the more my list of stuff to send grew!

I'm happy to say that my I-751 package finally got mailed last Monday.
I'm now anxiously awaiting the receipt, and a letter stating that my
alien card is extended for 1 year, along with employment and travel
authorisation.

In my usual AR style, the package was pretty comprehensive!  We bought a
new house together last June, so there was plenty of evidence to choose
from, and additionally...

..we are expecting our first child on July 17th!! :D

So needless to say, things have been a little busy around here over the
past few months!  It's nice to "see" a few familiar faces around these
parts; I'll keep you posted on our progress!

Here's a list of what we sent in our I-751 package, with covering
letter.  I labelled each sheet with my A#, name and "I-751 Application"
and highlighted our names on documents where it was not obvious:

Excellent news. :)  Congratulations, Karen.  It couldn't have happened

I take it you didn't want to include the plans for the little one's
christening and/or first birthday party with your I-751.  You could have
at least sent them an invitation to participate ;-)

Congratulations Karen on your "big" news.  As a first time new grandma,
I can tell you your parents are probably happier than you are.

DAMN!! I knew there was something I'd forgotten ;)

Thanks all for your good wishes.  We've now received the return receipt
from USCIS, so at least I know they have our package, and we're very
much looking forward to welcoming the newest USC to our family.

:)
