Hi All!

It's been a while since I have been on this board.  I'm grateful to have
somewhere to turn with my immigration questions.

Here's the situation:

We filed an EAD on Feb. 6.  Old EAD expired last Friday April 21.  My
husband has been on a leave of absence from his job since then.

Today the online status shows that the date of his EAD was updated
yesterday 4/27/06 but hasn't been approved or denied or anything. I
still see the same message as before.  Any idea what's up?

Thanks,
Niki and Matthias

It's been "touched", which means they're working on it...they did
something with the file, but we don't know what yet.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Did your husband have his biometrics taken?

I renewed my EAD recently, and they "touched" my online status the day
after I had the biometrics taken. I received the card in the mail a week
and a half later. And they never changed the online status to Approved.

I was also in leave of absence and very anxious about it.

If he had his biometrics taken, and if you don't receive the card by May
6th (assuming that Feb 6th is your Received Date), he can go with an
Infopass to get an interim one.

Best luck

Hoohay
