I have a question about our upcoming I-130 application. My wife
received permanent residency in 2001, but gave it up after we moved
overseas for my job with a foreign company. We are moving back to USA,
so we need to re-apply for her visa. On the I-130 there is a line for
listing the relative's A-number (if any). My guess is that I should
indicate "N/A", since she abandoned her status - but I just wanted to
make sure. Should I list "N/A" or the A-number she was issued along
with her previous visa? Thanks in advance.

I personally applied to adjust my status twice an was informed that I
was to use my old #.  I can't say this would be same case for you as I
am not a lawyer but my guess would be that you would since I had to use
the same # twice.

One has an A-number for life (justlike for the social security number),
therefore you should indicate her old number. Otherwise, you'll have
unecessary delays down the road as USCIS would have to merge the two
files together.
