My wife filed her N-400 more than 2 years ago. Finally, she has been
called for her citizenship interview in the first week of September.
Her oath ceremony would be followed week after. Her case was stuck in
the FBI name check process.
Now, I have a few questions and would really appreciate help on how to
proceed:
In January 2004, my wife (on the basis of her green-card), filed a
petition for me (I-130). My I-130 was approved but of-course my
priority date wasn't current. Now, it's about to become current. USCIS
is processing December 2003. Instead of opting for consular
processing, I opted for adjustment of status within US. I am here on
H1B. So, next month my PD becomes current and my wife becomes a
citizen. Does that change anything in my process? I am confused as to
do what will happen now? Does her becoming citizen help my I-485 and
EAD in any way? Or for that matter, my getting a green-card? Or, once
the PD becomes current it progresses, it's all the same?
I haven't yet mailed out the letter to NVC saying that I am opting for
AOS. I did e-mail them though.
Should I now wait and not to do anything till my wife actually becomes
a citizen which is in a few weeks from now?
Before, nothing happened. Now, two things merge at the same time.
Please help.

There are no quotas for spouses of US citizens. So, while there shouldn't be any
difference if the PD is current, the I-485 processing will continue even if the
PD retrogresses.
Of course, as always with CIS, it is best to tell them explicitly when your
spouse has become a citizen.
