Called up DIMIA today to check on a few applications (coincidentally, four
of us in my department applied around the same time) but have yet to have
our case officers assigned.

I am Chartered Accountant from Pakistan, but dont have a Bachelors
degrre equivalent to an Australian Bachelors Degree. From what I have
gathered in this Forum and the information available in the ICAA and
CPA sites, one needs to have an Australian Bachelor Degree equvalent.

It sounds to me like most people have obtained the name of their
case officer's when they received their request for medicals and
police records. I personally sent my police records and medicals
before any such letter came to me, so I did not receive the name of

Is a certified copy of marriage certificate evidence enough or not?

I've been lurking on this newsgroup for a while, soaking up the information
and encouragement from other people going through the same process and
stress as we have been. So please excuse me if I shriek loudly to you all

I sent my medical more than 2 1/2 months ago and Police Clearance 2+
months ago but didn't get any reply from DIAMA yet. I emailed to my
case officer but didn't get any reply from them. I used the DIAMA

I have a question.I am an australian immigrant and i recently
validated my visa.Now i am gettin married and my spouse is from
sovakia.I am indian.so as i know i have to sponsor her and in the
sponsorship form they are asking me to give details of my last 2 years

May be a silly question, but if we write a joint relationship history
statement do we both need to sign it?  Logistically difficult as my
partner is in Oz, and don't want to wait another week for this to come
back in the mail before sending in my front-end loaded application.

I know this sounds like a stupid question but when you get your stat
decs done at the solicitors, what do they actually do?
Do they just sign their name?  Does it need their company stamp?

I am looking for a way of avoiding the Assurance of Support for
