Hi everyone, This is the first time we have posted a thread. We are at
the waiting stage of the visa process after medicals and x rays. We are

My Oz girlfriend and I are in the process of filling out forms 40SP and
47SP for the de facto spouse visa. We're applying in London and we've
been together for 18 months now and living together for 14 of those.

passport - simply because there was less hassle that way than applying
for a visa for my British passport - to take up permanent employment. I

I'm so thrilled, we got a call from our agent today to say that we ha
passed our skills assessment, I can't believe it, visas will be in b
the end of July, so full steam ahead.

ACS have changed the Skills Assessment Guidelines which will take affect
as of the 3rd July 2006, this has no affect on Recognised Prior Learning
(RPL)  only skills assessment applications for those who are wanting to

A few weeks ago, I got the pre_grant_advice_letter email from my CO.
The email asks for certified copy of my passport, notification of

sent our 134 STNI app on 15 Jun, rec'd at ASPC 19 Jun, cc debited (by
mistake) for  1st instalment, they realised their mistake and refunded

A quick question about the IELTS. Does my dad (69), who is coming as a
dependant, need to do the English Test? If so, it is a bummer, as he is
dyslexic, can write but no one can read what he writes and CANNOT spell
