I became a PR of Canada on 18th June, 2004. I stayed in Canada continuously till 14th July 2005. Because of some family emergency I had to come back to India along with my two children (7 and 4) on 14th July 2005. My PR card shows it is valid till June 2009.

My sponsorship application for my parents was approved in Jan 07, and the PR application submitted to the New Delhi office during the first week of Mar 07. We have yet to hear anything (including acknowledgement of the application).

My parents are visiting me in US on a B-1 Visa from Pakistan. They hold a Pakistani Passport with a B-1 Visa. They also want to visit Canada. Can they apply for Canadian Visa from DC or Buffalo or they have to apply from their home country.
