I was refused a B2 visa last week because although I am a British
citizen, but my parents have legal temporary residency in the USA.  I
was told my ties with the US were too strong, and the only evidence I
brought with me to "proove" I was coming back was a letter from my

I graduated from Purdue university (Masters) in December 2003. My OPT
started from June 1st 2003 to May 31st 2004. The reason for the
discrepency between my OPT Start date and Graduation date is that i
did the Masters thesis  option. I am currently(as of January 29th) on
