My OPT expires on June 12th 2005. My department has applied for my H1B

97. My wife and I have been here since 96, on F1 student visas. I have

I understand that the FY2005 allocation (65,000) was used on the first
day.  This means that there were no further opportunities to get a
visa until 1st Oct 2005.  I doubt the company I'm talking to will wait
until Oct.

So what do other people think? Should the US government pass some sort
of legislation that covers same-sex couples as far as immigration is
concerned? Most European countries and almost at the English speaking
already have legislation that covers this for many years now. I heard

Getting married April 2nd (Saturday) in England (I'm on H1), and my wife-to-
be has her H4 appointment at the US Consulate in London on the 4th
(Monday). I just had a last minute doubt.. will the marriage
certificate be ready on time? Do they issue it on the day of the
