My family are going to the US in November for a 2 week holiday and were
wondering if my girlfriend needed to arrange a Visa. She was convicted
of Assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, it was in Jan 2004, she
received a fine and community service. How serious is this and would she

I am currently on F1 status and I recently applied for OPT. I have a
job offer and the company wishes me to join early as possible. But the
current service center processing time is 3.5 months and things aren't

I had some relatives come the US recently on immigrant visas.  I
noticed that they got a stamp that shows the date of arrival and their
entry status.
But... they didn't get a stamp that says "Processed for I-551".

If the N-400 is filed 90 days before one's 5 years of GC are done,
does CIS even look at it? Do they wait until the 90 days are over, to
process it?
