Hi, I went to the USA on an 18 month J-1 and I met my husband over
there. We married last april and have since been living in the UK - in
Northern Ireland. I never adjusted the stauts of my j-1 when I was in
the US as we knew we were returning to the UK. Also, I did check and

Still waiting for my GC, and periodically checking latest processing
dates for VT Service Center on USCIS site - although I know full well
this is only of marginal use as an indicator.... However -

My friend was granted asylum on Jan/2001. She is waiting for her Green
Card. Once she gets the Green Card, do the 5+ years she has been
spending waiting for the Green Card count towards the residency
requirement for citizenship? For instance, if she gets her Green Card
