Since the H1-B quota expired for fiscal year 2006 and filing for the next year starts April 07, is it possible for me (I have all the credentials that qualify as a skilled worker) to apply for a EB-3 visa? (this is obviously assuming an employer is sponsoring me).

A family member's F-1 visa will expire at end of year. He finished his mba, and is on practical training, but didn't get H1 sponsorship. Is it possible to re-enroll in another master's program and extend his F-1?

Expersts, If you apply for H1 on 1 April and you pay the Premium service, you still cannot work before 1 October? So it doesn't make a difference if you used the premium or not. Then, better save the $1000 and not pay

What happens if you apply now (Sept. 2006) for H1 anyways? Do they keep the file until 1 April? Do they send a confirmation that they received it? Or simply they reject it and you loose the money that you paid?
