I am a student who will soon start work on OPT.  Since the H1 visas are
over for this year, I will be on OPT for almost a year before I get my
H1 next Oct (Oct 1 2007, hoping my H1 next year gets approved!!).
I am going to get married Decmeber this year or Jan/feb next year.

I'm currently employed based on my OPT which will expire at the end of
June, 2007. I was wondering if I'd be elegible to apply for a green
card, or do I have to change status to H1 first. Thank you.
