As its been a while since I called them for info, I called again today, and asked what the hold-up was on my green card. They have sent a request to Tampa for more info, and said I should hear something within 30 days. If/When they do reply to me I hope its with my green card.

I graduated from a U.S university and am currently working for company A. I had my H-1 for A approved and have the relevant I-797. However I have not been outside the U.S since the start of my work and thus do not have an H-1 stamp.

Hi,I have asked a similar question about a UK Citizen getting US Citizenship,and what happens to their passport,ie,is it given up. I found out the answer to that is no because the UK will not recognise the oath of allegiance to another country..
