I submited my N-400 about a month ago...Haven't gotten anything back yet

it take for them to aknowledge that they have received my application?
When do they cash the cheque? I sent to California center.
EXTREMELY URGENT - H1 approved while outside the US, entering US with H4, will approved H1 get cancelled?07 Dec 2006 05:29 GMT6
I was out of the US when my H1 was applied for. I am still out of the
country but my H1 petition has been approved though I don't have it in
hand. I assume it will be a I-797 without the I-94.
I am going for H4 visa at a consulate in my home country.

My mom left US while we had two I-140s and I-485 pending.  While she
was away I-140 got denied and subsequently I-485 as well.  She is also
an O-3. She was supposed to fly this Tuesday.  Now that her travel
document is no longer valid, she is planning on going to the local
Customs/Importing Question06 Dec 2006 13:42 GMT8
Kinda of a story before I ask a question... Anyway here it goes.
Last week I crossed over from Ontario to New York to do some Christmas
shopping. Since postage is a whole lot more reasonable in the US, I
brought some stuff to mail with me, making sure all packages were not

The processing dates for I-130 application for children over 21 of
US citizens hasn't moved a bit for the last many months that I've

Renewing our Green Cards05 Dec 2006 19:31 GMT20
Does anyone know if its in any way possible to tell Immigration at
which time you would like to go in for the biometric appointment ? We
are living in Euroep at moment and , because of our son's school, it
would make life a lot easier if we could do this during summer holidays.

Revisit to US (under VWP) after short trip home?05 Dec 2006 14:08 GMT7
I'm currently in the US under the VWP visiting my girlfiend and her kids,
and flying back to the UK on Sunday (stay will have been about 85 days).
However, I'd like (as would gf + kids!) to come back soon after Christmas
- mid-January or so. Even though it seems there's no hard and ...
I-485 denied, what about EAD05 Dec 2006 05:06 GMT17
My dad had two I-140 petitions that got denied. He also had an I-485
that was tied to those two.  We haven't heard from I-485 yet, but it
should get denied as well since there are no grounds to keep it.  I had
an EAD that was issued based on I-485 and it expires on 04/11/07.
I-485 got denied04 Dec 2006 19:42 GMT6
Our I-485 got denied while mom is outside of U.S. and is planning on
coming by a parole document issued to her based on the 485 petition.
Parole  obviously doesn't expire until the end of the year I think.
Will she be able to come back to U.S>
