I've read somewhere that you can file an application for GC if you
have an L1A w/o company sponsorship if you meet some requirements.  Is
this true?  If yes, what are the requirements?  Does anyone know a
good lawyer that handle cases like this? Thanks

I am currently on my OPT (expires: 10/08/07) and have a pending H1B
visa application for FY 2008 through my current employer. I have found
another better position and wish to join the 2nd company, since it is
more relevant to my field and industry. Since even the advanced cap is

  My niece from abroad has a annotation on her F-1 Visa stating 'PPT
Waiver Granted'. The line is right above date and the school name.
Does anyone know what this means?

I changed jobs in May and my new company filed for my H1-B last may
06. My H1-B with the new company has been approved and all's well on
that front, but USCIS made a mistake and put my Country of Citizenship
as UAE and I am not a citizen there, I am a citizen of India. So my
