Im here on an E1 visa with my spouse and kids. My company will apply for a green card in short order. I have filed for divorce from my spouse but will buy her a house and want to make sure she stays here with my kids and does not go back to the uk.

I am in the US with my wife who has the L1A and I have L2 visa. I have an EAD and am working. My wifes employer will be applying for the GC shortly for both of us. However we are planning to take a vacation abroad in the next 2 months

There are posts suggesting to expedite processing by writing to local congresspersons. Now, does this apply if one has an I-130 approved by INS, but is waiting for visa number to be available.
