J1 and H1 question19 Jul 2007 17:08 GMT2
I am currently on J1 visa for my residency. I am a Canadian citizen and live
in Canada. I cross the border everyday to go to work and come back at the
end of day. So my primary residence is in Canada even though I am working in
US.
Should Police Investigate Crimes AGAINST Illegals?19 Jul 2007 04:48 GMT11
Hell no. When someone is robbed or raped or killed or mugged and the
cops find out the victim is illegal, they should just drop the matter.
That will encourage illegals to get back in their own country and won't
cost us a thing.  Illegal alien problem solved.
Has this happened to you or to someone you know?19 Jul 2007 04:28 GMT1
Has this happened to you or to someone you know?
Here's my story.
Back in Nov 2002 I came to the USA from England via the (dreaded)
"visa waiver program."
P-1 Group Entertainment visa and inadmissibility?19 Jul 2007 03:20 GMT18
The P-1 visa is a temporary visa to allow athletes and "entertainment
groups" (read:  rock bands) perform in the US.
My question is this:  if a member has been convicted in the UK of a
Class A possession drugs charge, does this render him/her inadmissible

my credit score, as I add new and significant financial
responsibilites?

Do we need to be married to get H1B visa in US?18 Jul 2007 20:19 GMT9
This is my first time here.
My partner is in the process of being relocated to the US from England.
He'd be sponsored by his US employer and therefore gets a H1B visa.
We've got a 3 yr old daughter and so for the first 6 months (possibly) I
Kucinich "But Hillary was my friend ? We shook hands after the debate...I don't understand this."18 Jul 2007 18:36 GMT14
Poor poor Kucinich...a babe in the woods.
He can't comprehend how his "ggod friend" Hillary could be feet away
from him plotting with
John "The Hair" Edwards to exclude him from future debates.
How can we live in the USA?18 Jul 2007 16:44 GMT11
Simple question - hopefully simple solution. My husband has just
retired from the RAF and has served alongside the US military. We would
like to move to the USA. We are financially secure and would not need
to work. Is it possible in any way for us to live in the USA with a
Jay Treaty immigration18 Jul 2007 05:47 GMT2
Has anyone here actually immigrated to the U.S. from Canada? What
documentation did you need? I've been trying to get a letter of
quantum from my band council, but it's a slow go.

Options for tourist visa (B1/B2) holder to stay longer legally?17 Jul 2007 22:36 GMT6
Can someone shed some light on our situation? I am a green card holder
and plan to start citizenship application in about 4 to 5 months, and
hopefully become a citizen after another 9 month (that's the time I
have heard). My wife and baby are not green card holders and they are
US Visa Help17 Jul 2007 18:20 GMT2
Other than a H1B Visa (very competitive), what are other options to live
and work in the US. The green card is a whole other process, which can
take 5 years, so I need to know what other visa will allow me to live
and work there.
