Hi all, as I understand, it is not possible to get the visa before
SEVIS I-901 fee is paid (as a J-1 visitor).
This was not understood by me so I requested the visa, get the
interview and received the visa.

Does anyone know when departure controls for citizens/GC holders will
be instituted??

I'm currently a Canadian citizen and my brother-in-law is a US
citizen.  He had applied for sponsorship on our behalf many years ago
and the application was finally processed and we are now having to
send in various forms and fees to continue the application process.

I140 & I485 filed concurrently. The I140 approval notice received and had
these dates:

What would happen if an employment-based greencard is approved, but the
future position (specified in I-140) is no longer open? Will the greencard
be cancelled? Can the employer do anything to cancel the greencard? Is the
employee free to leave the employer, given that the future ...

 I was married to an American citizen back in 2001 however due to
relationship difficulties the marriage did not last and I moved to
Canada (I am a Canadian Citizen).  Is there any way/chance of reviving
the immigration/citizenship process for the US?
