I had my interview at Federal Plaza, NYC on 3 June. I was told to
expect my card in 6-9 months, but it turned up in the mail today, some
eight weeks later.

Here is a small update on what has happened to us this week. The long
story that all of us have here started back in 2003 May when we filed
our I-485 pack at the Arlington office in VA. We got the work permit
end of August, so things looked ok. Then, we made the sin of moving….

As lpdiver said, if you can afford to support the both of you and
complete the I-864 then USCIS is not going to deny your AOS because your
husband doesn't work and contribute to the family income.

After two years of living in USA and on July 13 had AOS interview,
today received Welcome  letter from Homeland Security saying  Welcome
you to Pernament resident in the United States. Should received

Well I have my appointment for the AOS medical exam setup for tomorrow.
I printed out the I-693 twice, one filled out with my details and
another set blank. I intend also to bring my passport and also the only
shot proof I have which is a tetnus shot from a few weeks back.

Can anyone confirm for me that AOS applications based on K1's now need to be
mailed to the Detroit office?  I looked at their page the other day and
that's the impression I got.  Also, when I check their processing times on
the USCIS site it shows that they haven't moved in six ...

My wife recently completed the DCF process in Brazil and has arrived in the
US 2 weeks ago.  She has two children (ages 6 & 7) that we planned to bring
here to the US.  The preferred option of including them in her DCF process
was not available since their Dad was not in agreement ...

As I posted, my AOS to the of Permanent Resident was granted this past
week.  The letter I received said that if I am traveling or need
evidence of my permanent resident status, to make the appt, etc.  
My
Lawyer made a mistake, now we have an RFE31 Jul 2004 11:48 GMT21
I'm pissed. Our lawyer left out a signature and we are stuck with an
RFE. I cannot believe this.
For Atlanta people, how long after you received an RFE for EAD or
travel document did you get approval/denial?
