AOS, EAD, and Filing Fees23 Aug 2004 02:24 GMT4
Mack and I plan on filing the I-129 within the next few weeks, and once
his K1 is obtained, filing for AOS and EAD right away.
I should first mention that he is from Canada, and I will be petitioni-
ng for him, as I am a United States citizen. We will marry and reside
Family/parents to join you23 Aug 2004 00:38 GMT15
I would like to know whether any of K-3 or K-1 visa holders ,after rece-
iving permanent residence or citizenship of course, tried to bring their
families to the US as well?
Is it difficult and long process?
Simple Question? Visa options23 Aug 2004 00:31 GMT19
I wanted to ask people's opinion on what kind of visa they believe would
be best in my scenario. Any help is greatly appreciated.
* I am a UK and a Canadian citizen. My girlfriend, who I love very much,
 is a US citizen.
Direct Consular Filing23 Aug 2004 00:14 GMT24
I have read a little about this on the visajourney website. It sounds
like the easiest and quickest way to bring Mack in to the US from Canad-
a, but I'm a bit skeptical, because if it was so easy, how come I haven-
't heard of it, or heard anyone else on this site doing it?...
AOS - Interview in Garden City, NY22 Aug 2004 22:46 GMT3
We had an interview today and it lasted not more than 15 minutes. Usual
questionnaire for the both of us ( my wife ). Documents were collected such
as tax papers from last 3 years, etc etc etc.  Then the lady signed the
passport saying "Pending" and dated it. She then said that you ...
Sponsorship22 Aug 2004 21:42 GMT2
Can anyone tell me what is considered enough income to sponsor a spouse?
and for co-sponsorship, who can do this, and what is involved?
Two Questions-Canadian Husband22 Aug 2004 20:27 GMT1
My first question is mostly a request.  Anyone who has gone through the
interview in Montreal if you could please share your experience, I would
greatly appreciate it, including how much you had to pay for fees while
there, to give me an idea of what to expect.
I-130 questions22 Aug 2004 17:51 GMT4
Does anyone know if a letter, signed by my wifes parents, would be
sufficient enough proof for having a place to live when we file the I-130.
We have written to the US consulate in London and also called and
E-mailed..and no-one seems to know the answer to the above questions..we
SF Office Returned paperwork22 Aug 2004 17:43 GMT3
Well nearly a week after mailing my AOS papers I got them returned, see-
ms that the mail address for I-485 got changed to a PO box in 2002 for
the San Francisco Office(listed at VERY bottom of their page online). So
I have to repost on Monday.
Detroit INS office22 Aug 2004 14:39 GMT1
A friend of mine went to the detroit INS office the other day and got
the interim EAD. The person was also kind to ask if they issue a second
interim EAD if you don't get a decision before your EAD expires. What is
funny is that the detroit INS office is processing EAD applications ...
awaiting I-86422 Aug 2004 12:32 GMT3
My joint sponsor has mailed me the I-864 that she has completed.  She is
a US citizen however she only works part time and does not meet the
poverty line for her household, as she is supported by her husband.
She says she has put down his income on the form and therefore I assume
Proving relationship with Fiance...22 Aug 2004 03:29 GMT4
I assume this varies by Embassy and even by officers within the same
Embassy, but in general, what is considered proof of a relationship?
Except for my one visit, our contact has been mainly by computer (SMS
messages and yahoo chats).  We keep in pretty constant contact that
Would like some comments22 Aug 2004 03:03 GMT4
Group:
My wife is a (naturalized) US citizen, I'm a LPR and UK & Irish citizen.  We both live in the US.
Due to a quirk in the Irish Immigration Law's, my wife has the opportunity to become an Irish citizen simply by making a post-nuptual declaration of (Irish) citizenship.  Having ...
FYI re: packet 321 Aug 2004 23:32 GMT7
Our packet 3 instructions said that we had to turn in all of the
required documents BEFORE they would give us an interview date.  Asghar
took them in (a long hot bus ride!) just to be told that even though the
instructions did not ask for a copy of his passport, that the p-3 would
Check not cashed21 Aug 2004 20:36 GMT6
