What are the chances?16 Aug 2004 16:39 GMT6
I posted before.  Husband's friend married a Canadian woman here in

to Canada to visit her relatives, she was denied re-entry into the U.S.
Rather than investigating further into ways that he could bring her ...
I-89 question16 Aug 2004 16:12 GMT2
After an AOS case approved by a local office, do they internally fill
out both I-181 and I-89 and forward to the regional office? In my
case, the local NYC office told me they have forwarded my file to
Vermont and they gave me an I-181 case number, but not I-89. Is it
AP still not approved!16 Aug 2004 16:05 GMT14
My wife just received her EAD card in the mail today, but still no approval
or anything on the AP.  I called the disinformation line today and she said
that they are only working on 24 Apr apps.  We cant believe that we got the
EAD before AP?  ANy others with similar circumstances?
Poverty Guidelines 2004?16 Aug 2004 15:14 GMT4
Something I just want to verify. On the I-864 it is 2004 poverty

Eligibility Based on Income" even though the latest tax year is 2003 ? I
have entered here the 2004 guideline of 4 people at $23,562, the

Hi K-1/K-3 Experts:
My wife is in the U.S. on a K-3.  In the process of applying for her K-

Weird case status message16 Aug 2004 14:41 GMT1
I submitted my I-485 in June 2001. The case was approved at USCIS NYC in
Aug 2003, after 26-mo wait. Then, according the NYC, the case was
transferred to Vermont office for card production, and they gave me an
EAC number. Now one year after my case being approved, I am still
student filing I-13416 Aug 2004 13:53 GMT1
I am in the K1 process with my fiance.  I have sufficient funds from my
last year's income + savings to satisfy the minimum amount required but
I am a full-time student and do not have employment or income this
year.  We were to live off my savings until my fiance can legally work.
I-864 and Foreign Earned Income Exclusion-HELP!16 Aug 2004 10:37 GMT3
I read on VisaJourney of another DCF applicant's denial because they
used foreign earned income excluded from Form 2555 on their tax return
on the I-864 Affidavit of Support.
So what should be put down in section D of the I-864??  The instructions

Conditional greencard and the SSN card16 Aug 2004 03:09 GMT13
There seems to be conflicting information on this. My question is this.
Now that I have the conditional greencard, can I go back into the SSN
office and have that certain line removed from my SSN card?  Our
interviewing officer at the local service centre said to make sure we
Received EAD/AP through the mail.  I can work!!15 Aug 2004 22:11 GMT6

Ok, so I've been reading through posts all afternoon and am still a

be able to work immediately or will he have to wait a few months or how
does it work? Also, do we have to be married for him to work? I'm very
