Our appointment was for 11:00 AM.  We arrived at 10:00 AM but hubby
insisted we were too early.  So we drove around and came back at 10:30.

My husband and I are preparing to start our AOS journey.  As mentioned
in my first thread, he overstayed his visa waiver (yes, we know it was
the wrong way to go about it) and we got married.  We have gone ahead
and printed off all of the documents we need in order to prepare his

Hi, my husband just got his passport back from the US embassy London.
We filed for a K3 fiance visa I129  The visa stamped inside his passport
says One Entry Only and expires in 90 days??? Shouldn't the visa expire
in 2years with multiple entry?  Did the embassy make a mistake?  OR ...

In the post today I got my first 3 letters addressed to me at my new US
address.  I have 2 welcome letters from the United States of America and
now wait...... my permanent resident card!!!

We have a problem. My wife is US citizen and I came with K1 visa. We got
married and just mailed AOS papers yesterday. She doesn't meet the
requirements to be my sponsor so we have a mutual friend as cosponsor.

Well Santa came a few days late but it was well worth it and such a

Someone remind me if I'm supposed to already know this...
There are 3 individual USCs who've posted on vj that their I-130 is
being transferred from the Service Center to the Local Office before
adjudication and the USC is being requested to attend an interview.

What exactly do they check and at what points in the process? I assume
the police check in the early stage of the K1 is just to prove that
you've no convictions of being a mass murderer of something... but what
others are there?

On Friday (12/10/04) we received a letter from Sacramento letting us
know they had received my husband's AOS/EAD package & money order
payments and he had passed the initial screening phase.  They included a
white cash register type receipt showing his A #, Name, Filing Fees
