A friend of mine want to sign in as a co-sponsor to my I-864, but he is asking if he can quit it f.e. within a time? Does signing this document mean that he can not unsigned it and it has to stand there as long as it needs (till my us.citizenship?)

Since USCIS didn't accept my wife's passport for proof of birth for her AOS we received an RFE. According to the RFE she has to provide a copy of her birth certificate by August 12th. Her relatives in Costa Rica have made 2 attempts to send a copy to us but we still haven't received ...
