My husband and I have been frequenting this board for several years, and
I pop in from time to time to ask random questions....

1. In mid-May we received our interview notice in Orlando for 7/18. Got

So as I fill out my N400 I come across the question about illegal
gambling and just check NO. But then I start to think about it, I enter
all the superbowl squares and march madness sweeps in work every year,
so would this mean I would have to check YES?!

I was wondering (and I searched throughout the web and the USCIS
webpage without success) when we send the N-400 application fee, do we
send both the application fee and the fingerprinting fee one one check

hi, We have an appointment at the London consulate for an interview for
my husband to get marriage-based visa.  Does anyone know if they will
need to retain his passport? I only have my UK experience to go by and
they add a stamp to the passport immediately.

I heard a news about the government people lost a bunch of fiancee
cases and that caused those petitioners to redo everything.  Has anyone
heard that news?
Also, I returned th checklist for an interview in Montreal around 7 of

I have never posted before but my experience today was worth sharing. I
am married to a UK citizen who is a conditional resident. We thought his
green card expired in November and by chance found out that it expired
on july 2nd. Luckily we noticed a few days before and rushed the

  I sent a request in the mail to get Status Information Letter from
  the selective service because I am going to apply for the citizenship
  soon . I never heard anything from them since I sent it 4 months ago
  . I filled in the form and attached a copy from my green card and ...

G'day y'all. Thought this might be of interest to the group.
I filed my N400 at the California Service Centre, for the Phoenix District
office, in the middle of May.  My priority date is May 18th 2006.
Imagine my surprise when the first notice to appear for fingerprinting

Sorry, couldn't resist. Finally received approval notices for I-130
and I-485 stating that I should be receiving my new PR card within 3
weeks.
Timeline:

Vegas office? And was sucessful or not? How did the interviewers treat
you? Did you need to bring a lot of documents? I have two friends, one

I know that photos for I-751 must be passport size, but what about the
background, can it be little gray or it has to be absolutely white?
we took photos, but the background is kind of gray, and someone told us
that it has to be white.
