I am a UK citizen married to a US citizen. Previously I filed for AOS
and had the I-485 denied due to insufficient evidence, but had the I-130

I have refiled my I-485 and recieved my NOA. I notice that my biometrics

Hey - we submitted our I-751 to the California Service Center three
weeks ago. The instructions on the form said to send in a cashier's
check - so I have no idea if and when it was cashed. We received the
return receipt back that it was delivered successfully but have received

My wife (USC) and I got married on Mach, 2005. After a month later-we
filled up all the paperwork and filed in Charlotte, NC. I got my EAD
within less than 2 months. Then started waiting for the interview. On
November 2005-we received a letter saying that the scheduled interview

It appears that the VSC is having some trouble getting NOAs out in a
timely manner; this may also apply to other Service Centers.
Since this is a previously UNKNOWN issue, share your stories, but put

Does anybody know how to get rid of your old nationality passport when
you become a US Citizen WITHOUT sending it to the Embassy?
Can you hand-in your passport when you attend the swearing ceremony to
the judge and ask him to give you a receipt?

Does the interpreter have to be physically present at the AOS interview or
can it be done with a conference call or speakerphone? My wife isn't
fluent in English. The interview is scheduled in Omaha.
