An acquaintance of mine, has tried to get married to a USC but was denied due to expired passport in NYC. His consulate, wouldn't extend a new passport, unless he flies back to his country, or has a green card. Is there any way, it would be possible for him to get married.

Ok, I went in to the Detroit INS office this morning to get a new green card, as my 2 year conditional green card had expired. In the meantime while I wait for the new 10-year card to arrive they have stamped my passport with the I-551 stamp as proof of my status. My question is,

I posted a week or two back about getting the I-751 approval the day before we moved from MD to VA. I went into the office in VA today (prosperity avenue) and it was quiet - there was < 10 people in the waiting room.

I got the approval letter, made an info pass and they asked for 3 pictures. When i went to the window, they took my finger prints and stamped on my passport for one year n it says IR6 now. She said within 6 months i will receive my 10yrs card, can i travel on
