I-751 through VSC08 Dec 2006 19:01 GMT13
I don't really have a question.
I haven't seen posts about VSC I-751s lately, so I thought I'd make a
current space for them here.
I guess I'm just opening this post as a record-keeper or a timeline, or

Hello to all,
My friend who just married a citizen was talking to a lot of people who
was telling her that even if his husband is not a US citizen and only a
greencard holder (immigrant) she can easily get her greencard in 3

I-751 Status (VSC)08 Dec 2006 16:09 GMT8
Hi groups,
When I checked my case online today, I saw the following message. It
looks like done but I didn't not see the word "approved".  Can
anybody confirm?
Any recent I-751 approvals filed after July, 2006? From CSC?08 Dec 2006 15:34 GMT7
I was wondering if there are any recent I-751 approvals (especially the
ones filed after July, 2006). Because that's when they've started using
new system or something, since people who filed after 07/2006 are able
to see the status of their I-751s online.

Has anyone tried the CIS ombudsman08 Dec 2006 05:00 GMT11
OK, sorry to harp on about my favourite subject again but I was

ombudsman report which I'm sure someone has already discussed.
Two things came up
Visa Issued on the day?08 Dec 2006 00:02 GMT4
Does anyone know if London will issue me the visa on the day?  They already
have my medical results, and I know they *used* to stamp the visa in on the
day, but the letter I got informed me that there's a £15 fee to pay on the
day for having it couriered to me.
"What's the Right Thing to Do?"07 Dec 2006 23:29 GMT7
It's nothing new I suppose - we hear these stories over & over & over.
This article caught my eye for many reasons.
I knew someone who got deported 2 years ago who similarly, had just
bought a house – she was detained a few days before the closing as
When is the AOS approval date if.........07 Dec 2006 21:43 GMT3
If the caseworker at your AOS interview tells you that you are
"approved" subject to the FBI background checks coming back all clear,
what is the date of your "approval"?  Is it the day you attended
interview, or the date they receive the FBI check?
Questions about I485/OPT-EAD07 Dec 2006 20:15 GMT1
This questions are not for myself, but someone asked me this the other
day and I could not find an exact answer.
What happens if an F1 student goes on OPT (i.e. receives an EAD based on
that) and then marries a USC, filing AOS? Can the person keep using that

RFE.  Does it mean that my application goes back in the queue?  Does
anyone have experience with RFE?  How long does it take after you send
