Questions about I-485, I-130...17 Jan 2007 14:56 GMT5
This website is a great source of information, for which I am thankful.
I came to the U.S. on F1 visa in 2000 and got an H1-B in 2004, which is
still my visa status. I married an U.S. citizen September '06. My H1-B
visa is up for renewal in Oct. '07 and instead of renewing it, I ...
Background Check17 Jan 2007 14:49 GMT15
Hi guys - I believe I heard something about a FBI background check with
a fiance visa.  No problem, don't think either of us has had as much as
a traffic ticket (I should knock wood before I drive again).
Just curious - are they checking me (US citizen) or my fiance or both?
US Citizenship after just 3 years!17 Jan 2007 14:03 GMT9
I feel like such a silly moo.  I thought it was 7 years I had to wait to

Hi, I have questions about my residence status.  I moved to U.S. with a
K1 and I got married last month.  I have already filed the AOS to INS.
My question is do I have to declare non residence in Canada, and when

Anything else I could do to push through I765?17 Jan 2007 03:06 GMT14
I asked several times questions about I765 renewal. Now my old EAD is
approaching expiration and the new one has not come yet (the new one
reaches 90 day mark on Jan 16th, which is 6 days before the old one
expires). My employer has been pushing me to submit the new one and
Refund from USCIS17 Jan 2007 00:28 GMT11
I can't believe that I stupidly filed for the wrong form!!! I
filed for a renewal of my green card (I-90) and went for biometrics
today.  It was there that I was told I needed to file for an I-751 (to
remove conditions).  I actually applied too early for this anyway.
Last name help!!16 Jan 2007 17:04 GMT13
My wife was granted conditional status 2 years ago.  She is hispanic and
the INS Officer decided to change her last name to Garcia de Lard.  We
asked why and he stated that this is what they do for Hispanic last
names.  I thought this was completely absurd but did not argue as to ...

I-90 questions16 Jan 2007 09:19 GMT2
Good day all, I'm filling out the i-90 form for my wife. The reason is
to correct my wife's name on her green card. Presently it has her
maiden name on it and she would like to change it to match our name.
Basically she would like <firstname> <Herlastname> - <Mylastname>

Pending AOS, biometrics, and change of DOs16 Jan 2007 07:41 GMT4
AOS pending due to namecheck for two years. Just received a letter from
the local office stating that "to continue processing your application,
you must go to an INS application support center to have your biometrics

US living in Canada with wife...moving to US16 Jan 2007 07:01 GMT1
I'm a US Citizen married to a Canadian woman for two years and living in
Toronto as a PR.  We are considering moving to Florida.  Would the
option of applying for an I-130 be our best route if we plan to only
visit the US to find employment while we wait for immigration?  If I get
When do they take your green card from you?15 Jan 2007 23:12 GMT7
So after you have the naturalization interview and it is a success do
