Boston Biometrics05 Feb 2007 14:02 GMT1
So we went in on Saturday morning (at exactly 8 AM when they opened).
We drove in, found a parking spot literally one block down, dropped
enough in the meter for an hour, and walked in to the Application
Support Center.  We showed them his letter and explained that he would
I131 - is it the solution?05 Feb 2007 03:26 GMT7
My wife and I have received her immigrant visa (subsequent to an I130 I
filed for her in France).  We planned to leave for the US before the end
of April (expiry of her visa) but my new job in the US requires 3 more
months of training than originally planned (in France).  Therefore ...
Arrrrrrgh!05 Feb 2007 03:03 GMT6
My citizenship interview is less than two weeks away, and I can't find
my passport anywhere. I'm so careful with docs. I have everyone else's
birth certs, passports, and every other sort of doc in my files
carefully organized. I can't understand why my own isn't there. I
Biometrics Question04 Feb 2007 20:13 GMT5
So on January 11th I went down to USCIS on an infoPASS and the officer
sent an e-mail to VSC asking for them to correct our address (since
whoever entered it in the system entered it wrong) and also requested
that a new NOA be sent to the correct address.  We finally received the

I have just done my biometrics appointment.  I was curious about the
timeline of how long it will take for my greencard to arrive.  I filed
at VSC.  Thanks.
Advanced Parole: how "serious" should the reason for requesting one be?04 Feb 2007 16:03 GMT3
We had our AOS interview in Aug 06, but did not get a GC due to an FBI
name check. Since there is no certainty when it will come through and
we plan to go to Europe this summer, I am going to file for advanced
parole. The application says that it is an "extraordinary
How long did you wait for your Embassy interview date?04 Feb 2007 01:08 GMT4
I returned the fiance visa application checklist to the Embassy just
over 2 weeks ago, but have not heard anything as yet (I already have
my medical and Police checks done on me) - I thought i may have
received an appointment date, even if the appointment was a month ot

I'm trying to download the N400 form on the USCIS website and I have
an error, the file is damaged and can't be repaired.
Is it my system fault or do you have the same problem?
The file is there:

Turning 14, 551 stamp, but no GC yet??03 Feb 2007 13:30 GMT3
This is very confusing.  Does anyone know if we have to file and what we
have to file?  Permanent residency was granted in January and all
passports stamped with I-551, but who knows when we will actually get
the Green Cards.  One child turns 14 in February.  Here is a paragraph

Just got my US Immigrant visa and the courier sent my UK passport and a
sealed envelope with strict instructions from the interview officer lady
at the US Embassy in London not to open it.
What is in it and why should people not open it?
Coming from Canada - I-94 question02 Feb 2007 19:42 GMT7
Good morning all:
I have a friend who's planning to move to the US this year.  His g/f is
US, and they are getting married this summer.  After the wedding, he'll
remain legally in the US, and submit the I-130 & I-485 at the same time.
