SSN, EAD, Work Authorization clafirication27 Feb 2007 00:34 GMT11
It may sound like I haven't read about this, but I have - and must
confess to being fairly confused.  I'm not sure just what the current
policies are. Sorry if this is redundant.  We have a lawyer, but he's
only handling the visa, not AOS, so we can't really ask him - we'll
AOS/Name-check delays26 Feb 2007 21:46 GMT6
After waiting for 42 months for my marriage-based AOS (I had my USCIS
interview three years ago and have been waiting ever since for the FBI
name check) my wife and I were on the verge of filing a writ of
mandamus, especially given that the likely increase in filing fees is
I-751 Question - Plz respond26 Feb 2007 13:20 GMT3
I have 2 questions. I'll be filing I-751 jointly with my wife to remove
my conditional green card status. It will expire in May.
My question is that the downloaded form says that 2 sworn affidavits are
required. My father-in-law and brother-in-law are gonna do that. They
K-2 Visa26 Feb 2007 13:13 GMT2
Hello.I'm a K-2 Visa.
Could I go back to my country when my Adjustment Of Status is pending?
And to get Advance Parole takes as long as AOS to be processed.(6
months)
How long is the wait after AOS interview for green card?25 Feb 2007 14:55 GMT5
 My husband and I had our AOS interview in Chicago on October
31st, 2006. We were told that everything looks satisfactory but the FBI
background check was not complete, so we could not be approved right
away. Its been 4 months now and nothing has happened yet? Does anybody
I-131 travel document question, advice please.24 Feb 2007 15:44 GMT3
Hi, I need a clarification. I called uscis 3-4 times and they answered
differnetly every time.
I came here on b1/b2 visa, got married, and I have I-485 pending. Now
I don't know should I apply for Advanced Parole or I have to do
Naturalization interview in Boston24 Feb 2007 13:18 GMT2
I had my interview for naturalization today in Boston and it went very
well. They gave me a notice asking me to appear for my oath ceremony
on March 13. I didn't expect such an early date, especially given that
I petitioned for a name change. But I suppose there is always the
i-751, husband wife live apart24 Feb 2007 11:41 GMT3
my first time here. I am a DVM by training and came to USA to pursue
research and thereafter got my Ph.D. I met my wife, a US citizen, in
graduate school and we dated for 3 years and got married. She is
currently pursuing her advanced degree in NY. However, I had to come to
Work Permit?24 Feb 2007 01:24 GMT4
My hubby and I filed my documents for my AOS back in November. I got
fingerprinted on December 29th. My interview is on March 2nd. Now, I
still haven't got any information on my EAD... No letters, no card. I
thought that maybe they just won't give me one, since my interview is
AOS-Biometrics Question24 Feb 2007 00:53 GMT4
I'm about to file the AOS paper work but there is one question that
still haunts me ...one to which I keep finding conflicting information.
I have already filed for the EAD and had the biometrics interview
...now when sending away the rest of the AOS paperwork will I be
AOS - Letter explaining felony charge24 Feb 2007 00:35 GMT1
On the I-485 form, it asks if I have been arrested and then it asks
to explain.
What kind of letter explaining do they need ? Does it need to be from an
attorney or they just want an explanation of the case and copy of court
I-551 stamp needed if greencard still valid?24 Feb 2007 00:30 GMT4
Just a quick question... we just sent in our I-751, and we'll be
traveling outside of the US in a month.  My husband's greencard will not
expire until after our trip is over and we're back home (in other words,
we're traveling during the 90 day window before the greencard expires).
Steffi USCIS update (no Never-Ending-Story this time)24 Feb 2007 00:11 GMT8
It's been a while since I've been here! Funny how that happens...I
remember familiar faces dissapearing when they received their GC, and
now that I've got mine (and no more problems to come with it), I'm just
as bad as those people.
is that enough now??23 Feb 2007 23:54 GMT2
