I went to my local USCIS office today (Orlando) to check the status on
my AOS (married to USCitizen 9/6/2005 staying legally on J-1).
They told me regular stuff  like FBI backgroudn check, nothing new. I

I have a pending I-485 due to background check (with interview going
fine) and I was wondeing if any of you is aware of the typical time to
check on a file...the electronic file said the date of last update was
about 85 days! do they check things once every 90 days...? any thoughts?

We are trying to figure out the best way to do this. My fiance is here
