I am currently in the USA and working on an OPT permit.  My girlfriend
and I have been dating for 2.5 years and are planing on getting married.

I have a pending I-485 due to background check (with interview going
fine) and I was wondeing if any of you is aware of the typical time to
check on a file...the electronic file said the date of last update was
about 85 days! do they check things once every 90 days...? any thoughts?
